Voyagerclan's VERY vast knowledge of space
- The reason Voyagerclan know so much about space is because the original leader, Voyagerstar, was the kittypet of an astronomer, and much of his knowledge stemmed from there. Voyagerstar insisted every cat learned as much as they could about space beyond their home.
- The ranks were made with a combined mix of Dia. and Zippo.'s suggestions. The ranks of clan cats are based on some of Saturn's moons, with Titan being the largest moon (the leader), and going down the line to Calypso (the smallest moon of that list, but still bigger than some other ranks. The reason I didn't include the top largest is just because some of the moons' names as ranks didn't roll off the tongue as smoothly.
- There's a bunch of terms for other cats, so I'll rattle them in the order they show up on the list. I chose Ganymede for starclan cats since Ganymede is the largest moon in the Solar system. The cats "strive to be" this rank essentially. There's also Deimos for Dark Forest cats. Since Deimos is the smallest moon (from what I've read, though I could be wrong), it's fun to think that the cats used this term because they were the equivalent of being "lower on the ranks than kits, loners and rogues", so to speak. Ceres is the term for a cat who isn't really worthy of being in Forest of Stars or the Shadelands for numerous reasons. This is because I was looking for a term and saw that Ceres was a dwarf planet and I was like 'cool', but later on when I was looking for another term and saw it was also labeled as an asteroid, so I thought, "well which one is it?". So that's the story behind that. Next term is a Nix, or an exiled cat. This was picked because not only is it the name of one of Pluto's moons, but it means "nothing", which, with an exile, is really fitting in my opinion. Next is a Farout. They're called that because of them being pretty far from the clans. Farout is currently the farthest object in the Solar System as of now. Last is a Bennu, which describes a rogue. They're labeled after an asteroid called Bennu, and are labeled as such due to their seeming unpredictability.
- There were two landslides. There was a smaller one that killed Hailsoar and Heatherpaw when Crow was an apprentice, and a large-scale one that killed Dewstar, her deputy, a few others, and it buried the old camp in a pile of rubble. I like to think the Old Camp collapsed, which caused the larger landslide, and that's also why they were unable to get back in the camp.
- Hunter's Hallow is where the cats enjoy hunting, as it's a lush patch of land that also doubles as a mixed forest. All sorts of prey resides there. They think it has plenty of prey because of a blessing placed on that portion of land by the Forest of Stars. This doesn't exempt it from being snowed on, though.
